Meet the dedicated Trustees of Windyway Trust. Our volunteer Trustees are the guiding force behind our mission to rescue, care for, and rehome animals in need. Their commitment and strategic oversight ensure that Windyway Trust continues to make a vital difference in the lives of countless animals in Macclesfield and beyond.
A cornerstone of the Macclesfield community and a driving force behind one of its most cherished animal charities, Christine Earles is the dedicated Chairman of the Windyway Trust. Her long-standing leadership and unwavering commitment have been instrumental in the growth and success of the trust, ensuring the care and welfare of countless animals in the region. In her role as Chairman, Christine provides strategic leadership and guidance to the board of trustees.
Under her stewardship, the Windyway Trust has not only provided a lifeline for the Windyway Animal Rescue but has also expanded its community support, including initiatives like the local pet food bank. Christine is a familiar and respected figure in the local community, often championing the charity’s cause and rallying support for its various initiatives. Her hands-on approach and profound dedication have made her synonymous with the Windyway Trust, embodying the spirit of volunteering and compassion that lies at the heart of the organisation.
Jane Arnstein graduated from Liverpool University and is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the ICAEW. Jane joined us as a trustee and became our treasurer in 2018. She is a dedicated volunteer and frequently attends our outdoor fundraising events and activities with her daughter. She is also an excellent baker.
Pat Barnard joined us as a trustee in March 2011 and is a dedicated member of our team. Pat is our fundraising secretary and can regularly be found at our outdoor fundraising events, speaking to local groups and schools. Every week you will find her walking the dogs at Windyway. She organises tombolas, raffles and runs our sponsorship programme.
Wendy Riseley joined us as a trustee in 2021 with her faithful poodle, Charley Brown. She is a dedicated animal lover with a wealth of experience and an avid knitter for the charity; many of her knitted products are sold in our shops to raise funds. She regularly volunteers at our Windyway Trust Centre, sorting donations for our shops or activities, and frequently attends outdoor fundraising events and activities.
Thank you so much for thinking of the animals at Windyway. Every single donation, no matter the size, is a lifeline for the cats, dogs, and other small animals in our care. Your generosity allows us to provide them with warmth, food, essential veterinary treatment, and the priceless chance to find a loving forever home.
